I am Sick and Tired of This and I Won’t Take It Anymore. That is actually an affirmation that I use and to some people it sounds very negative but, it really is a very positive and necessary affirmation.
Because of something called a set-point, No matter what kind of diet you might try, you may get a short term change in weight but over the long run your body will return you to your natural set-point weight. The same thing happens when we attempt to increase our wealth, success and self-fulfillment. We will typically make some temporary gains and then our subconscious will bring us back to our old standards.
In dieting, it is called our set-point. In our quest for self-development, it is called our comfort-zone. Our subconscious is used to a certain standard of living and although we may make some temporary changes, our subconscious will always try to bring us back to our comfort zone.
That is why I use the above affirmation. We must convince our subconscious that we will no longer settle for our comfort zone. We must convince our subconscious that we have an intention for total self-fulfillment and then those changes will start to happen naturally.
By keeping us in our comfort zone, our subconscious is trying to keep us safe. The subconscious fears change and is only trying to protect us. In order to make great changes in our life, we must reprogram the subconscious into an understanding that change does not threaten us. It may take substantial work to reprogram our subconscious but once the subconscious understands that change is a good thing, then and only then will growth become automatic.
I have tested many programs and have yet to find a single program that will work for everyone. There is no one size fits all. The Law of Attraction, affirmations, self-hypnosis, NLP (Neurolinguistic programming), subliminal audios and many more all work but, only for a small portion of those on the quest for self-fulfillment. I wish that there was a single program that will work for everyone but since all of our minds have their own individual characteristics, what works for me may not be right for you.
I personally use several of these techniques and it is that combination that works for me. It may be an arduous task but once you find the right program or combination of programs, you will easily reprogram your subconscious and wealth, success and self-fulfillment will become automatic. Personally, I use a combination of affirmations, self-hypnosis, NLP and meditation. In combination, these techniques work for me.
Many people will blame their motivation, procrastination or any of a number of excuses for not being successful but, these are only symptoms of the problem. Change your mind and you change your reality. One must reprogram their subconscious in order to effect any real change in their life.
If I ever find a single program that will work for everyone, I will be the first one to tell you. In the meantime, study the different techniques and find what works for you. With the wealth of free information available on the internet, there is an answer out there for you. You absolutely deserve wealth, success and self-fulfillment and when you apply the techniques that are right for you, ultimate success will be yours.
You will likely read many sales letters from different self-help gurus claiming that they have the one and only secret. They don’t necessarily mean to lie to you but, there is no one who holds the one and only true secret. What they have found is the secret that works for them. It is your job to find the secret that works for you.
Part of my secret, is that I am grateful for everyday that I exist on this earthly plane and helping others gives me great joy.
